Hypoglycaemia is a frequent complication of insulin
therapy. Injectable glucagon and oral intake of carbohydrates are
the recommended treatments for severe and non-severe
hypoglycaemic episodes, respectively. New uses and formulations of glucagon are reviewed and discussed in this article.
